About the website

Where can I dance tonight?

Latin Events Calendar is for anyone looking for somewhere to dance. It answers that one question for your city, every night of the week.

By dancers, for dancers

Made by people who go out dancing, for anyone looking for somewhere to dance.

Studio agnostic

No studio or promoter comes first. If it's on, it's listed.

Salsa to kizomba

Salsa, bachata, zouk, kizomba and Latin nights are all listed, from a growing set of cities.

Why we built it

Tired of lists that weren't kept up.

We kept looking up where to dance and finding lists that weren't kept up: stale pages, old times, nights that had moved or ended months ago. Some left events out over personal politics, one organizer not caring for another. We were tired of it, so we built the calendar we wanted.

It simply shows everyone what's on, and you decide what's best for you to attend.
How it stays current

Kept current, every day.

  1. It goes looking

The calendar runs on AI trained on what our dance community looks for, and it searches wherever events are posted: studios', venues' and organizers' own sites and calendars, event listings, and flyers people send in. It reads those sources every day, so a change shows up here.

  2. You add what's missing

Organizers and dancers submit nights directly. Each submission appears once it's approved.

  3. Dancers keep it honest

When several people report a night as cancelled, the calendar flags it right away. Every report of a wrong time, place or price, or a closure, is reviewed so the listing can be corrected.

The calendar refreshes automatically while you browse.

Using the calendar

Simple on purpose.

  • Pick your region at the top of the page.
  • Open an event for its details, directions and links.
  • Future weeks include recurring nights and dated events already listed. More may be added, so confirm with the organizer before you go.
  • Every time is local to where the event happens.
Help keep it accurate

Know a night we're missing?

Submit it and it appears once approved. Spot something wrong, a night that's ended or a place that's closed? Open the event and choose Report a problem, or use the Report a problem page for anything else. Want the calendar in your city? Suggest it.
